Kate Fischer Kate Fischer, a Calgary native, is concerned with issues in Environmental Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution. She graduated from the University of Toronto, Trinity College, with a major in “Ethics, Society and Law” and Economics, where she was distinguished both as a Millennium Scholar and as a Trinity College Provost's Scholar. As a student, she worked for RBC Dominion Securities and an international Canadian-based oil company. Kate is a rising 3L at NYU School of Law, where she has served as a Vice President of the Canadian students organization as well as a member of the Orientation Committee and the Mediation Organization. She will spend the summer of 2006 in the Canadian Practice at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP at their New York office. |
Colin George Colin George was born to Canadian students in the United States but lived in Vancouver until attending McGill where he completed a Joint Honours Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Political Science as a part-time student while working as a consultant for Canadian banks and pharmaceutical companies. Upon graduation, he opened the New York office of the company. As a student, Colin joined the Canadian Grenadier Guards and achieved the rank of 2nd in his infantry class. He is a rising 2L at NYU School of Law where he is a member of the Mediation Organization, the Moot Court Board, and the Canadian students organization. He will spend the summer of 2006 at the Irish Centre for Human Rights at the University of Galway. Colin is proficient in French. |

Aaron Meyers Aaron Meyers was born in Ottawa, Ontario but grew up in Aylmer, Quebec and is a native speaker of French and English. He obtained a B.A.Sc. in Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto where he was ranked 2nd in a class of 207 engineers. He worked summers at a start-up company developing next-generation broadband wireless systems. He went on to complete an M.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at U of T earning multiple scholarships and student leadership awards. Aaron also served as a Steward of Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Local 3902. He is a 2L at NYU School of Law, where he serves on the boards of the Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Society, the Law and Business Student Association, Law Students for Human Rights, the Information Law Institute, and the Canadian students' organization. He spent the summer of 2006 working in the Intellectual Property Litigation group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP's New York offices. |
Noah Waisberg Noah Waisberg received his J.D. from NYU in May 2006. At NYU he was winner of the Leonard J. Schreier Memorial Prize in Ethics, Managing Editor of the NYU Journal of Law & Business, and President of the Canadian students' organization. He was also a legal advisor to small start-up businesses and a Division Director of the Law & Business Association. He graduated from McGill with a Joint Honours Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science and a Minor in Economics, and then attended Brown University where he completed an A.M. in Political Science, and the coursework and comprehensive exams for his Ph.D. He has worked for HSBC Securities in Toronto and the Institute of Development and Labour Law at the University of Cape Town . He currently is an associate in the corporate department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York . Noah was born and raised in Toronto and is proficient in French. |
